Tag, You’re IT!

tethered_3d38_BAR_sm

Paper Craft Planet’s 3D Tuesday Challenge,  3D38 challenge, “Tag You’re It” is from Susanna Boyd.  The VIDEO tutorial Susanna did is AWESOME (with a new fold for a tag holder!) & she’s right it takes no time what so ever. I did spend a bit more time on the tags themselves with the nestabilities {flourish thing} & cuttlebug ornament die cuts, & some copper embossing, but the tag holder itself … MINUTES. LOVE IT.

The book holds 8 ornament tags.

Here they are:

Although I’ve been making time to have some fun with challenges this past week, I haven’t really posted anything.  Little bit of catch up.  So two challenges in 1 :)

This is for the Tuesday 3D Challenge, 3d36 Winter Box, posted by Adela.

I used the Stampin’ Up Pillow Box & added onto it a bit. Also used Merry Moments DSP (LOVE IT) & the new delightful Decorations Stamp Set, with the punch to match.  Fun challenge & would be a fun treat holder.

The second treat holder, also from the 3D challenge posted by Kim Burmeister, 3d37, is a Snowman Treat Holder.  Fits a Chocolate Bar, just right.  What, no chocolate bar in the photo … I have a sweet tooth.  ’Nuf said.

It is 1 peice of 7 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ piece of heavy water colour paper, scored & partially trimmed with Xacto Knife.

SU Bordering Blue Marker, Bashful Blue Marker, Pretty in Pink Marker, Blush Blossom Marker & CO N.0 Cool Gray Copic Marker & a SU Aquapainter.

The “buttons” are from the centres of flowers in the Decorative Daisy SU Set. For the stitching on the hat, used Provo Craft Clear Impressions Acrylic Stamps.

White EP, Black EP, Orange EP, Versamark Ink, Clear Mini Glue Dots.

Black CS, Tango Tangerine CS, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter (although you can’t see it here) used with Heat ‘n Stick Powder.

I must admit, if I had to make a bunch of these for kid’s classmates, I would use the printable snowman from Samantha Parisi I saw while surfing.

Thanks for the fun inspiration, Kim & Adela!

Crafty Martha

Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #55 … Create something Spookey-Halloweeny.
This is a Halloween Candy Holder for a Cinema Saturday Cinema Challenge , 55. I saw the idea from Gardenia’s Blog!

The original template is from Martha Stewart, that crafty woman.  So here’s Martha’s Coffin:

Used:  Old Olive CS, Déjà Views Global Views double sided patterned paper, Black CS, Martha Stewart Edge Punch, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder with Home Accents Cartridge, cording from my sewing stash, tag punch, Olive Stazon Ink, Martha Stewart clear Halloween Stamps Goo Alphabet.

Kookie Package

Over at Paper Craft Planet’s 3D Tuesday Challenge, Adela provided a really cute tiny cookie box template. This is my go at 3d34, Kookie, using Adela’s Cookie  Box Template. I used the Stampin’ Up! 1 1/4″ circle punch for the window at the front.

Just wrap the cookies in cellophane, oh great, now I have that John C. Reilly song from Chicago in my head.

The cookies are those minty girl guide cookies (my neighbour sold them & Kiera always knows that I am good for 2 boxes).  Wonder when the vanilla & chocolate split box is being sold … mmmm.

Used:  Fashion District Me & My Big Ideas Matte Pack, Mellow Moss Textured CS, Corner Rounder, Make It Count Stamp Set, Orange Embroidery Floss, Orange Eyelet, Cellophane, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch Stampin Up!

Baby Shoes.

Paper Craft Planet Colour Inspiration (PCP 17) was to make something baby-like using So Saffron, Kraft, Vanilla & Close to Cocoa.  I didn’t have a pram stamp so I thought I’d try something else.  These shoes are so tiny, 1 fits in your palm, so maybe they could hold a couple of chocolates?  Dunno, I just thought the template from Donovan was so darn cute.

EDITED:  If the Donovan Website seems to be down you should be able to find the template HERE.

If you take your time at it, rather than rush though it in 15 minutes like I did, you will definitely have a neater pair of shoes.

The template was easy enough to use, be sure to use super sticky tape.  I find it easier just to print out on printer paper & then tape that to the DSP.  We have a temperamental printer, that has chewed up many a DSP … sniff, sniff.  So that’s why I just tape on the negative spaces …

Used:  Kraft CS, So Saffron CS, Close To Cocoa CS, MM Buttons, Close to Cocoa Marker, Super Sticky Tape, 1/16″ hole punch, Flower Punches (SU), template from Donovan.

Ribbon Spool Frame

Okay the 3-D Challenge this week, (3d3), from Paper Craft Planet, was to make an altered item out of a Ribbon Spool.  I really wanted to make a pin cushion, but I tried for about an hour & gave up, because it look like a dogs breakfast & went surfing to see if anybody had any ideas … I love the internet.  I found this person, KMThornton, who made an altered Picture Frame Ornament with a Ribbon Spool.  Then I made my version inside of like 10 minutes.  Still have to put a picture in, but later …

I just poked a whole with a paper piercer & pushed the ribbon through, tying it with a Rhinestone Brad:

Glossy Glued the Rhinestones & Coloured the Edging with Ruby Red Marker.  Threw on some Nestabilties:

Here’s the second scalloped Nestie I used for the back.

That’s all.  Faster to do than to take pics of.  LOL

Used:  Close To Cocoa CS, Ruby Red CS, Holiday Treasure DSP, American Crafts Premium Ribbon Shimmery XMAS Red 5/8″, Ruby Red Marker, Rhinestone Brad, Rhinestones, Glossy Glue, Scalloped & Regular Circle Nesties, oh yes & a ribbon spool.

Candle Gift Set

I saw this amazingly straight forward template for this Candle Gift Set by JeNN at Kiyomi Krafts  She adapted her template from a cereal box craft she saw.  How cool!

Why is it so great? No silly 5/8″th’s measurements & very clear graphics.  I don’t get along well with the ruler, I normally just eye ball things, but I had to give this a go, when I was perusing JeNN’s site.

Here’s the tag.  I used the crop-a-dile to punch a hole through the ribbon & handle:

Here’s the back:

Here it is apart:

The Candles are just little pillar candles, wrapped in plastic, so it was easy to tape the PP to it.

Thanks, again, JeNN!  You are awesome.  Even when things are crazy busy for you, you manage to find time to cheer and inspire other’s.

Used:  Punch Pals Stamp Set, Baja Breeze CS, Holiday Treasures PP, DCWV Christmas Stack PP, Scallop Punch, Round Punch, Coluzzle Circle, Clear Embossing Powder, Versa Mark Ink, Kiwi Kiss Ink, Baja Breeze Ink, Dimensionals, Felt Brads, Candles, Kiwi Kiss Ribbon, Slot Punch, Crop-a-dile.
