Here’s a few more pics of the Tea Cottage Gift, made up in about 20 minutes, using the svg’s from Adela! Don’t have an electric cutter? Go old school with some scissors on the pdf print outs.
For me though, the SVG (SCALEABLE Vector Graphic … you can SCALE it!) was sized at 60% so it was nice & small & cute. The paper is from Martha Stewart.
What a lovely gift to give tea (or any little treat) to a friend. 3D Paper Crafting at it’s best!
Have a great time hopping! And thanks, Adela for the fun!
My DD isn’t into the ribbon thing, she’s more grungy–raggedy-denim & that’s where I started with this project.
I repurposed this old watch that for whatever reason, I hadn’t thrown out. (Anybody remember the Oprah watch-ribbon craze? Well this was my cheapy watch that I had some fun with & then the battery died & I think it was more expensive to change the battery than to replace the cheapo watch). lol
and just made the soft side toward the wrist & the bumpy side is where I adhered the flower.
And Bob’s Yur Uncle, a little shabby-chique brooch-bracelet for DD.
Here’s a link, for those who want the svg, of the “marigold-ish” type layered flower I drew.
So did I mention, I’m lovin’ this Sure Cuts A Lot Software? SCAL is a program that let’s your computer talk to your cricut machine. I draw something up in Illustrator, save it as a svg file & then voilà-in a few minutes it’s cut some of my patterned paper out. ahhhhh <insert light beam here>. Beautiful.
I’m not much of a drawer, but apparently with a pen tool I can draw Holly. :) Tah DAH!
Used: DCWV Christmas Stack Paper, Jar, SCAL, Cricut Machine, SU Circle Punches, White CS, Ribbon from Michaels Bargain Bin, Illustrator CS3.
