Time for a challenge from Embellish Magazine. This weeks challenge is to use Stitching.
I attempted the poofy flowers from Tammy’s 3D challenge and Mercy Kerin’s tutorial but I switched it up a bit by having the fabric brad in the centre, but I still like the effect. I used my Brother Sewing Machine that I have had for years, not fancy, but it’s a beast & I love it. Kraft CS, K & Co PP, Nestability Scallops, SU Punches, Making Memories Magnetic Alpha Punches, dimensionals, Blue Bayou Ink, Fiskars Scalloped Edge Punch, Patterned Chipboard Letters, SU Pillow Box Die Cut.
I’m hosting Paper Craft Planet’s 3D Tuesday Challenge this week & I thought we’d play with a free template. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy trying out 3D56, Five Sided Favours challenge. It’s just small to put in chocolates, candies, or chamomile tea
So I used a free template from Timeless Treasure Trunk. Which I printed out & then stuck onto Martha Stewart Patterned Paper & cut & scored. Easy Peasy & very quick, I must say. I doesn’t take up a lot of paper & all the cuts are STRAIGHT, woo-hoo, so you could make a bunch of these.
I made the template a bit more printer friendly, but it is the SAME gorgeous template from the clever folks at Timeless Treasure Trunk. I found it was easier to size it up on the printer in this format:
And here it is again. Great for Wedding/Bridal Shower Favours, small gifts, whatever, just cute, almost like a small hat box:
Be sure to upload your basket weaving to the Paper Craft Planet site. Never tried uploading a photo to Paper Craft Planet? Here’s a step-by-step tutorial for adding photos to the PCP Gallery. Once their in the gallery & TAGGED with 3d56, I can find them & add them to the 3d56 album! Don’t forget to link it back here to this discussion so we can all see it!
Used: Martha Stewart PP, Friend to Friend SU Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip Ink, Circle Punch, Flowers, Dimensionals, buttons, Pearl Twist Tie, Paper Piercer.
This is a cute little Carton template “Easter Carton” from Shannon that was the challenge this past week in the 3D Tuesday Group as well as featured in Paper Craft Planet’s Community News. I loved Shannon’s template & had to give it a go. You can find the instructions over at Paper Craft Planet’s 3D55 or at Shannon’s Website.
I liked sealing them with Brads so that I could fill them later.
I can’t really say truthfully how long it took to make this. I’m going to say most of the afternoon, because in between strips of tape, I would read Clifford digs a dinosaur bone … again & again, & again … It was Liam’s library book this past week & I have read it umpteen times. Like most multi-tasking-parents, I never really end up focusing on one project for too long.
Used: Stampin’ Up DSP, Rhinestone Brads, Oval Punches, Martha Stewart Doily Punch, Lace Ribbon.
Time for a fun challenge from Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge. This week, #73, is Sense & Sensibility. I actually saw made for TV British Version one this week, that I found on You Tube, that is pretty true to the book. Anyways, one of the things i think of when I think of Jane Austen is Silhouettes. So that was my take on the movie/book.
I took a photo of my oldest here … nice goofin’ around for the camera, but I did manage to take one without the ‘Einstein pose’ as well, but just because I wanted to show you what I deal with on a daily basis with 3 goofy children, here my Emma-Sian …
and then I used a FANTABULOUS Video tutorial from Carina Gardner on making Silhouettes … CHECK Carina’s tutorial out HERE! to make this:
and made this …
Thanks for the fun, ladies!
TGIF and welcome to Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design/Paper Craft Planet blog hop! 10 designers are hopping along, each creating something amazing with the SCAD Elizabeth Bell & Victoria Case stamps.
My card features the “Oh Baby” stamp. Isn’t she cute? Makes me want another little girl. I stamped her a few times on Stamping Up DSP patterned paper and on Water Colour Paper. I did this do cut out some of the images & place some small pop dots under the parts of the dress & hair band that I wanted to add some dimension. Copic Markers, Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch, Rhinestone Stickers & Stazon Brown ink used with Clear EP were also used.
Hop along with us and leave us some love and you could end up winning one of 3 generous prizes: 1 sheet of the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler #3 OR 1 sheet of the Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts and Hugs – Spring Collection (new Release) OR 1 Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Ice White!
