Making a Paper Frame

Well, I’m home with the 3 kids today, no day camps, no cottages, no buddies around, & a generally rainy day. Think of me will ya. The boys are making paper airplanes & Emma is drawing. I squeezed out a quick hour in the craft room to have a go with two challenges in 1. (Paper Craft Planet’s 3D Tuesday & Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge!)

The 3D Challenge, from Tammy, for 3D72, “You’ve Been Framed”.

This frame is made out of paper, using a template I found from the very clever Inna of Inna’s Creations.

The owl ‘Spin a mood’ in the middle, reminded me of those casino roulette tables that James Bond plays, so that’s where the second Challenge from Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge comes in CSCC89, Casino Royale! I don’t think the Flower is much of a silhouette, but I’m hoping I still kinda’ hit the challenge.

Be sure to check out other frame examples over at Paper Craft Planet!

Some more plucking at the July Scrappy Sunday Sketches from Paper Craft Planet.  I suppose I should have played with the Channel Mixer to change the pics to B/W, but it was just so Emma-Sian to have the multi colours, I kept them as is!  Hard to believe my oldest baby is 11.

Papers:  Crystal Wilkerson.

hello friend

Time for Paper Craft Planet’s 3D challenge, 3d70, a Hanging Basket.

Adela, from Creations by AR created this template for us to use!   Thanks, Adela!

This was a very quick project & it’s perfect for a few little cookies or goodies as a surprise for a friend …

Be sure to check out the 3d70 album for more fun interpretations!

Just plugging away at Paper Craft Planet’s Scrappy Sundays.  Be sure to check it out & have some fun with either traditional or digi layouts!

Holiday Stars

I went with a quick card for this week for the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge, #87, The Holiday …

Here’s where the inspiration came from.  I’d link in the video here, but if you start watching the movie midway through, it ruins it.

here’s the inside of the trifold card …

The papers are from Stampin’ Up!, (ink Cameo Coral) as well as the Star Punches & the sentiment (Quick & Cute), the eyelettes are from Making Memories.

i {♥} papers

My appologies, but  better late than never!  We have a really special blog hop and challenge going on all around Paper Craft Planet (that started Sunday, and Tuesday for my belated Canadian readers, thank you Customs Canada) It’s all about BLING! You can call it paper make-up, jewelry, bling, whatever — it’s that little bit of glaze, glitter and glam that you add to your cards to give them that “finishing touch”. The Supernovas are using the new Petal Press stamps, Summer Garden , for our projects from i{heart}papers.

OK, now it’s your turn! Make a card with a lot of dazzle and you could win the new Petal Press stamps, Summer Garden , for our projects from i{heart}papers. All you need to do is tag your card “iheartbling” and upload it to the Planet. We’ll be keeping an album for everyone that shows off all the entries so far!

Here’s my go with this lovely set that to me called for some pearls …

Looking for some inspiration? Check out what the other Supernovas made!

Marigoldy Wearable

Paper Craft Planet’s 3D Challenge this week, 3d69, is Wearable Art.  It uses Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel and layered Flowers.

My DD isn’t into the ribbon thing, she’s more grungy–raggedy-denim & that’s where I started with this project.

I repurposed this old watch that for whatever reason, I hadn’t thrown out.  (Anybody remember the Oprah watch-ribbon craze?  Well this was my cheapy watch that I had some fun with & then the battery died & I think it was more expensive to change the battery than to replace the cheapo watch).  lol

and just made the soft side toward the wrist & the bumpy side is where I adhered the flower.

And Bob’s Yur Uncle, a little shabby-chique brooch-bracelet for DD.

Here’s a link, for those who want the svg, of the “marigold-ish” type layered flower I drew.

Football Fever

So the Cinema Challenge Saturday Creative Challenge, #86 this week was Bend it Like Beckham. Good choice being that the Soccer Fever is high. My kids got right into it, cheering for Germany today.

So with this challenge, what else could you make but a soccer ball???  This SVG was a freebie Beth, at My Cricut Scrapbooking!  Thanks, Beth!
