Circle of Love

Time for this week’s 3D challenge from Paper Craft Planet.  Today is 3d149 & this is an idea that I saw a few years ago from Melissa of Melissa Stampin for Fun. It’s a cute little Treat Box, just in time for Valentines day.  These would be sweet with little York Peppermint Pattie or cinnamon hearts.

The template, starts with a simple circle!  I must admit, with a bunch of these to make, I made mine a bit smaller & more paper conservative, with 1 piece of 12×12″ DSP, I cut & made 4 little envelope/treat boxes.  Have some fun with her template and let’s see what you make!

And the winner is …

The winner of the two templates is Denise Bryant!  Congrats, Denise.  Be sure to contact Adela at for your prize.

The Hockey Sweater

Paper Craft Planet’s Scrappy Sunday, has some great templates right now to motivate your scrapbooking.  I couldn’t help myself and made a page of my Malcolm.

I prefer 8 1/2 x 11″ layouts, so I adapted the layout a bit.

Now, if you haven’t heard of the story by Roch Carrier, it’s called the Sweater & it’s a favourite book around here!

Amy –> that’s me! And here’s what I made to show you …

The fun thing about this shadow box, is you can put anything in it to personalize it:

The second template is a cute surprise purse.  Now the beauty of Adela’s templates is they are not only adorable, but sizeable.  The unmodified size, fits a gift card, but if you size it down to 50% you get a barbie purse … WAH!

This would be fun to give the the little Valentine girl in your home!

How do you enter into this giveaway? Just leave a comment for your chance to win.
Winners will be announced Thursday! Be sure to visit all the Design Team’s blog & leave a message of love. Each blog will give away BOTH new templates.
Special thanks to Adela of Creations By AR for these adorable templates!

Claymation, keeping boys busy

My youngest, who turned 6 in December, got a Claymation kit for his birthday.  A couple of days ago, he & his big brother went at it.  Huge hit, I didn’t hear from them for the morning.

I thought, for no help from Adults, and their first attempt at a 40 second movie, it was pretty good … but I’m their Mum.    Next lesson, lighting.  Day of the Dinos

They’re already talking about their next film.

Totally a cool gift, if you’re having difficulty finding something for boys or girls …

Superbowl Craft

Time for a Tuesday 3D Challenge at Paper Craft Planet, 3D145.  January, in this house, the boys watch football & we get ready for Superbowl.  We are the family that brings out the little football shaped chilli bowls & Football Field Table Cloths towards the end of January.  I saw this cute post from Vanessa on Table settings for Football Parties & was inspired!

All you need is 1 piece of paper to make a little holder decoration for the table.

I scored & cut my paper at 2 1/2″ in and folded to make a box “lid”.

Rather than punch a hole, it’s better to use an exacto knife & cut an “x” so that it holds the cupcake stable.

To plan out where to cut the “x”, I used a circle template, that was later removed.  Depending on the size of your cupcake/ice cream cone you can adjust the size.

That’s all.  Pretty fast and this would be fun for a super bowl/birthday party.
