I saw Beate’s Colour Inspiration #23 & thought I’d give it a go.  To be honest, I’m not all that happy with it.  It’s the mix of patterns, colours, well, I don’t know what happened.  I did my best to mirror the inspiration photo.  I also thought I’d try to use an Unloved Ribbon, I’ve had in my collection.  I’ll blame it on the ribbon.

Here’s the card.  It’s nutty, I know, it’s the stripes, mixed with the circles.  Why does it work in the inspiration & not the card?  Ah well, I gave it a go.  When I saw the photo, I saw circles with brown & green … hey I have a ribbon like that.  Hmm maybe this is why I don’t use the ribbon too often.

Used:  Say It With Scallops, Square Scallop Punch, Green Galore Textured CS, some crazy ribbon I bought at a Michaels Clearance event,PP from Chatter Box, Scrapbook walls: 2 sided Light Den Stripe, Certainly Celery Marker, Certainly Celery Ink, Martha Stewart Pearl Stickers.

I’m off to see what others at SCS have done with this photo & see how to do it right.
