1950’s Dress for Success.

Here’s a Saturday Inspiration IC155 from Steph over at SplitCoastStampers. The inspiration came from Mad Men. I must admit I haven’t seen the show, not sure if it’s my thing, but the images of the dresses Steph chose were so beautiful, I had to give this challenge a go.

Here’s some of the images of the high 1950’s Fashion:

My D80 is in the shop right now so for the next little while I’m back to using my point & shoot Nikon Cool Pix 4300. Handy dandy little thang & oh so light. No comments on the photos, k?

I used a 6″x6″ piece of CS & went by this really helpful, really clear origami lesson on You Tube. The side border is my new Spellbinders Nestabilities (well ‘Borderabilities‘). It’s a 12″ border one, but I just used a regular sandwich, since I don’t own the longer sandwich boards. I bought the borderabilities at Heather’s Stamping Haven in Ottawa.

For more fun interpretations, check out SplitCoastStampers IC155.

Used: SU Jumbo Wheel: So Swirly, Grafix Gold Foil on Ivory Paper, Bashful Blue CS, Bashful Blue Ink (although I think my wheel wasn’t clean & had some purple on it LOL), Clear Blue Snap, Dimensionals, Spellbinders Borderabilities 12″ Illumination Border (used in cuttlebug), bone folder for Origami.
