Welcoming Patio
Nov 25th, 2008 by tethered2home
Here’s an inspiration courtesy of Beate! Be Inspired Challenge #33 comes from Martha Stewart & her oh so inviting patio. Wouldn’t you love to have something like this in the back yard? I planted grapes this year, but it’ll be quite a few years before the vines take over. I love the candles in the glass votives as a chandelier. Did I mention it’s been snowing (the heavy wet snow) in Ottawa? Maybe that’s why this image seemed so inviting that I had to have a go at it:
Here’s my card. I used a rather forgotten about stamp set in my collection that I once adored called: Fresh Fruits (S.U. retired). I also used my new friend the Ranger Ink Blending Tool, so much cleaner than sponges. Don’t know why I never used it before. It’s a “good thing”. lol
Thanks for the fun, Beate. See you back on the 2nd of January. Man, can I wait that long, I guess I’ll hafta!
I’m off to check out more fun interpretations at SplitCoastStampers BIC33.
Used: Fresh Fruits (S.U. retired), So Saffron CS, Always Artichoke CS, Always Artichoke PP, Ivory CS, Always Artichoke Ink, Old Olive Ink, Summer Sun Ink, Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink, Ranger blending applicator tool (felt pads), Rectangle nestabilities, Antique Copper Brads, Tejas Lace Company Suede Lace, Dimensionals, Scallop Punch.

Beautiful card Amy – LOVE your take on the challenge – always wanted to try one of Beate’s challenges – can’t wait to try one… I can’t imagine that much heavy snow – its cold here – but nothing snow-y yet…
So glad to hear from you today – so excited too! Just wanted to tell you that I just created a little award (the Inspiration Award) that I left on my blog for you. Man, you are awesome!!!
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Stay warm!!!
Best wishes always,
Sankari
Amy!!! this is one of my favorite cards ever.. I love IT!!! There are so many elements that work so beautiful together… The pineapple is just perfect. Great choice for the background. and the Sentiment is a perfect match… Just sublime….
Darn with weather that cold you might just have to stay inside and make a card or something.
hugs
