Origami Box, adapted.

I saw this tutorial for TLC203 Origami Box, on Split Coast Stampers. I also used this video tutorial from Kristina Werner on how to make an origami box. The heart on the box is using a background Inking technique called Ink, Spray & Smash, by Faith Hofrichter, over at Split Coast Stampers.

The top is a nestability cut out of background technique called Ink, Spray & Smash, by Faith Hofrichter, over at Split Coast Stampers. I used Real Red, Pink Passion & Blush Blossom re-inkers. It really did smash together as I looks more like one colour rather than the ‘tie dyed’ tri-effect I was hoping for.

Here’s the inside of the box.

I used the Scallop Edge punch (after cutting the paper to 6×12, rather than 5 1/4 x12″) and I had these 1/4″ strips left over (double sided paper). I thought why waste them & I just pasted them back on as a trim. Here’s the back of the box, where you can see it a bit better.  Oh & I also ran a chocolate chip marker along the straight edge of the box at the front (well top in this photo)

Be sure to check out other TLC203 Origami Boxes over at Split Coast Stampers & Ink, Spray & Smash examples at Split Coast Stampers.

Used: Holiday Treasures DSP (one sheet 12×12″ for origami box base & one 12×12″ cut in two pieces for lid wrap), Cereal Box (5 1/4 x12″), Scallop Punch, Nestabilities Heart, Glossy CS, Re Inkers (Blush Blossom, Real Red, & Pink Passion), Super Sticky Tape, Ribbon From Michaels, dimensionals, Chocolate Chip Marker.
