Break for 3 D Fun

So I try to take a small break in the afternoons to have a tea, but it’s been more & more difficult over the past year, since Liam no longer naps.  I said to myself, he was out this morning it’s okay if he watches an hour of tele this afternoon.  I know, bad Mum, but just wanted to sit & watch a bit of tv/craft didn’t feel up to much else.  I sorta tuned out Martha Stewart’s Show on ‘Pet Blog’ & Seasonal dishes closet organizing’  (Sorry, Martha, wasn’t able to cope at looking at someone’s stuff who was so organized today & then look at my crazy, albeit loving home).  I opted for crafting!

PaperCraftPlanet had it’s second Tuesday 3-D challenge (PCP tag:  3d2).  Make a Bird House.  That appealed to me, looking forward to hearing the chirping birds of spring.

I used a template I found here and just changed up the roof a bit.  The roof design I filed away in my brain from seeing something that CC had done her blog ages ago (not quite the same, but that’s the idea I was going for).

I should have used Super Sticky Tape or maybe Tombo Glue ’cause the roof keeps popping open, but once I post this my hour will have turned into 1 1/4 hours … esshhh bad Mum.  Gotta read Liam a story or play some indoor hockey before I get the other two from school.

Used:  So Saffron CS, Close To Cocoa CS, Soft Sky CS & an unknown (close to soft sky CS), NRN Designs (Karen Avery) Leaves & Vines PP, Sizzlits Set Birds & Blooms, Wire, CM Circle Punches, Dimensionals, Scallop Punch, Printer to fast draft print out template on the back side of PP.
