Great Comforter

This week’s Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge, CSCC31, is Steel Magnolias!   A great pick for Mother-Daughter Movie!

This is one of those kleenex box movies, laughing & crying.  A great hormonal release LOL.  There are so many memorable scenes from this movie that it was hard to choose something to go with for a theme.

I chose to hand write (yes, in my chicken scratch, so I’ll translate for ya!) a verse from Matthew 28:20.  ”And surely I am with you always to the very end of age”.  I find that Verse quite comforting and reminded of the deep sorrow in the movie and how you can be comforted in all situations.

The texture on the tree is called Sweet Pea Flower Soft.  It’s kinda like a rubbery foam, I guess.  It comes in a tone of colours (this is Sweet Pea) & is like flocking.  It’s just a little container, but I think it’ll last me years.  You don’t need very much. When I was at Heather’s Stamping Haven, Heather told me to try it with their High Tack PVA Glue.  It dries clear, but when I took this picture, it was still wet.

Used:  Brown Embossing Powder (SU retired), Versa mark Ink, Flower-Soft Snow Peas, Flower Soft PVA Glue, Uni Ball Signo White Gel Pen, Always Artichoke DSP, Kraft CS, Mat Pack & Piercer, Crafts Ribbon, Bible.
