Summer Reads

Paper Craft Planet’s 3D Tuesdays came around last Tuesday & with the business of school ending, I didn’t have a chance to play around the Adela’s wonderful idea of a ribbon Bookmark until today.  3d17’s idea is to use ribbon scraps (always plentiful).  With our summer camping trips coming up, I decided to make a bookmark for each member of our family.

For Malcolm, I took chipboard letters, & used some Tsukineko Brilliance Platinum Planet Pigment Ink.  For Liam I used an old tigger, rubber embellishement I guess, but it really came off of an old back pack.  Emma, I used velour paper with some felt diecut ribbon & some velour ribbon.  DH uses these cute clear stamps from Kelly Panacci (Sandy Lion), which I thought the sentiment was PERFECT for him, as he easily gets lost in a book for hours.   Mine is a Martha Stewart moiré ribbon (woodgrain pattern) and a super soft crocheted flower (although I can knit, no, I can’t crochet to save my life) that I bought at Sassy beads last year, that I loved & wasn’t sure what I wanted to use it on.
