Creepy Bird Cage
Time for the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge. This weeks challenge #41, is Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. Honestly, yes, I know I’m the oldest 30-something in the world, but I don’t ‘get’ Harry Potter. Haven’t seen them or read the books. I did check on You Tube to see what I could get a quick inspiration from & I went with the Freakie Bird Cage thing I saw.
I used this Sewing Wire Frame from Cherie Mask at Two Peas. I printed it out on cellophane on my old printer, it’s not broken & I don’t use it often, so we keep it. Put Packing tape over it & pushed it down so the ink bubbled a bit. Oh yes, that is my “unexpected twist”, hope that cellophane meets the criteria.
The “Sea Gull” was first painted with White Crackle Paint (Tim Holtz) & then stamped with the “Along the Shore” SU Stamp Set in Stazon Timber Brown Ink. Also used some SU White Ink with the Ranger Ink Distressing tool on the PP, Martha Stewart Doily Edge Punch, Pearl Adhesives, Mini Glue Dots, Brown Craft Ribbon from my stash, Close To Cocoa DSP.
This picture is out of focus, not enough coffee for me to use my eyes, I guess. But this is the effect that the “Crackle Paint” has. It’s a cool texture.

Love your take on the challenge…stunning and unique card!
This is awesome! I love the bird cage. Nicely done!
I’ve never read any of the Harry Potter books – the first few lines of a book I flipped didn’t appeal to me – but I’ve watched all the movies because all the mystery and special effects are quite interesting. Not all of the movies are good though.
I love your creepy birdcage card! What a great idea!
Wow…stunning! Love the bird cage.
