So I originally saw this idea over at Prudent Baby, for making a DIY Cake Stand from recycled tin-cans, almost a year ago now. Filed away in the brain until I saw this week’s Paper Craft Planet’s 3D challenge from Kim for reworking a tin can for Halloween, 3D76. Kim got me thinking about Halloween entertaining with a really cute Mummy-Tin.
So I covered the Chicken Noodle Soup tin & the cut out 1 card board & 1 plastic green plate (because I didn’t have two corrugated card boards) & the patterned paper.
Taped on the trim, actually from 3 pieces, but you really can see the join lines, unless you look underneath.
Scalloped the paper, this is some old Canson paper, which came from Hallmark, called Autumn Holiday Treats (scrapbooking).
Oh yes, here’s the ugly under side, which unless you’re taking a photo to show how it’s put together, no one will see.
Since the tin can had a bit of a bevelled edge, I raised up the middle a bit by adding dimensional foam.
Stuck it on & all set! The little Candy-Corn carrying Spider is from Stampin’ Up! called “Web Wishes”.
