One of the new Templates from Creations By AR!

Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Carriage

I’ve made two of the new adorable templates for you to see.

First is the High Top Baby Sneakers … the Sneakies!

I made the Sneakies with some Pink Velour paper & the kids have asked that their Build-a-Bears get a pair too!

Next was probably my favourite of all the beautiful templates.  So quick to make & so little girl presentable!

It’s the Carriage:

The carriage opens up to put a treat inside:

Can I say how much I LOVE Adela’s 3D templates … I ADORE THEM.

Thanks to Adela from Creations By AR for all this FUN!

Wee Cradle

Time for a challenge from Embellish Magazine! This challenge was for a baby themed project.

Here’s my go with it!

Sticking to these 4 colours was a bit hard for me, but then I found this little {Free} Template, by Chris Woolsey, over here.  Now I must admit, I did cheat a bit & rather than cut out by hand (which you easily could) I converted it to an svg in illustrator & then used Sure Cuts a Lot software to let my computer talk to my cricut Cutting machine.

Once it’s cut out, it’s very quick to throw together.

It fits in the palm of your hand.  The Teddy Bear punch is from Marvy & the Stamp is from Stampin’ Up! (Cuddles & Tickles)

Pram Inspired

Well, it’s been ages since I’ve participated in a Colour Inspiration Challenge (family, housework & life gets busy no?) at PaperCraftPlanet, but this photo, that Millie chose, from hiren info, was so inspiring I really wanted to try & make something.  (I think this is pcpcolor39.)

Here’s my little pram.  As close to a copy of my own that my 3 babies all were in … sniff, sniff, just a moment.  We actually had a pink musical hippo pull toy on our pram, not a pink bear, but there ya go.

The blanket is textured Paper, embossed with an argyle Cuttlebug folder.

The template itself, was not a “pram” template.  I did find one free pram template, but it was sized oddly, so I couldn’t make heads or tails of it.  Instead I used a Car-Van template from the Crafty PC (& just didn’t cut the wheels out).  You can see it better if you hold the pram upside down … it sorta looks like a mini truck.  Or maybe not, but that was “the” template.

The Sun Shade part of it, I just eyeballed with a Coluzzle Oval Cutter.  I think I made them a bit big.

Used:  Night of Navy CS, Bashful Blue CS, Pink Pirouhette CS, Rhinestone Brads, Circle Punches 3/4″, 1″, 1 1/4″, Martha stewart Clear Dotted Stamps, White EP, Versa mark Ink, Marvy Bear Punch, Argyle CuttleBug Embossing Folder, Coluzzle Large Oval Cutter, Scallop Edge Punch, Pop Dots.

Baby Tags

For these Onsies, I used a template from Adela .

You can have a chance at WINNING this template just by entering the Tuesday 3D Challenge, 3D31, Tag It Clearly .

I printed out the template & then cut it out by hand–quick to do (really). For the Blue Bib, I used Nesties. Next time somebody is expecting twin boys, I am so ready, just throw in the gift certificate & go!

Here’s my go with the 3D31 Challenge to create a See-Thru Tag.  At the back of the card, I cut out another Nestie, to cover up the back of the embellishment.

Be sure to check out other 3D31-Tag It Clearly Submissions over at Paper Craft Planet.

Baby Shoes.

Paper Craft Planet Colour Inspiration (PCP 17) was to make something baby-like using So Saffron, Kraft, Vanilla & Close to Cocoa.  I didn’t have a pram stamp so I thought I’d try something else.  These shoes are so tiny, 1 fits in your palm, so maybe they could hold a couple of chocolates?  Dunno, I just thought the template from Donovan was so darn cute.

EDITED:  If the Donovan Website seems to be down you should be able to find the template HERE.

If you take your time at it, rather than rush though it in 15 minutes like I did, you will definitely have a neater pair of shoes.

The template was easy enough to use, be sure to use super sticky tape.  I find it easier just to print out on printer paper & then tape that to the DSP.  We have a temperamental printer, that has chewed up many a DSP … sniff, sniff.  So that’s why I just tape on the negative spaces …

Used:  Kraft CS, So Saffron CS, Close To Cocoa CS, MM Buttons, Close to Cocoa Marker, Super Sticky Tape, 1/16″ hole punch, Flower Punches (SU), template from Donovan.

Gift Bag for baby.

Paper Craft Planet’s 3D challenge, 3d11, is to make a bag.  I used this template from carlosNmolina and make a rather quick bag.  I thought I’d be able to also hit the PCPlanet Colour Inspiration Challenge (baby inspired) for this week, but for some reason, I thought we had to add pink instead of Saffron.  I think I was thinking of the Cinema Challenge.  (I know you all do a few challenges each week too!)  Ahh well, I still have time to do the other challenges!!!

I used that Super Tape (with the red peel) & the bag is REALLY strong. The bag is pretty small, so probably only would fit some pacifiers & a gift card, no diapers, Unless you enlarged the template.  :)

The back is just plain.

Be sure to check out the other AMAZING submissions here!

Used:   Ivory CS, Manchester DSP?, A Little Love Stamp Set, Rose Romance Ink, Circle Punches, MM buttons, Embroidery Cross Stitch Floss, Super Stick Tape, Dimensionals, Pink Rick Rack from my sewing stash, Coluzzle Circle Cutter.

Bunny Basket

Paper Craft Planet Colour Inspiration Challenge, #13.  I am dumbfounded that Katherine was able to post this week, with baby #4 coming on Friday.  Blessings, Katherine!!!

This week’s challenge comes from Baby Gap.  This canvas wall art is so cute:

Here’s my Gift Box.  I used the directions on SplitCoastStampers for the Gable Gift Box and went from there.  The “faux Stitching” is just that, paper piercing & then a white gel pen (Uni-bal Signo) to fill in the gaps.

Used:  Bashful Blue CS, Certainly Celery CS, Cream CS, Chocolate Chip CS, So Swirly Stampin’ Wheel, Chocolate Chip Ink, Close to Cocoa Ink, Ranger Distressing Tool, Paper Piercer, Uni-bal Signo White Gel Pen, Martha Stewart Bunny Punch, Oval Scalloped Nestabilties, White Gross Grain Ribbon, Green Felt Brad, Small Circle Punch, Crop-a-Dile (for punching through ribbon), Super Sticky Tape, Dimensionals.

Patty’s Baby Bib

When life gets busy, escape by crafting!  And boy, has it been busy, Liam’s birthday, DH’s birthday, and uh oh yes, Christmas.  AHHHHHH.  I refuse to go nutty over Christmas, it’s not what it’s about.  I decided today to take a wee break and pop over to Paper Craft Planet’s (PCP Colour Challenge Group), pcpcolor6 a fun escape.

Check out this inspiration photo from Baby Gap, courtesy of Katherine:

I saw a really cute bib-card tutorial on Patty Bennett’s blog, that I’ve been meaning to try for a while and when I saw Katherine’s challenge, well, I mean really, the time had come!  I don’t own a scallop circle big shots die … yet LOL, so I used my nestabilities scallops instead.  It adds a nice embossing too, but I think it turns out to be a much smaller card.  I also did my best to use all of the colours, but after a few different attempts, I just went with marker-sized dots.  Not sure why I went with Pink, everybody I know having babies are having boys.  Oh well, pink is cute.

Here’s the front of the card:

Here’s the inside of the card.  I used a little “clothing tag”  that I had hanging around my scrapbooking supplies.  I believe it was from Junkitz: Labelz.

Since it was fabric, I attached it with super sticky tape.

Okay, now back to the craziness of the Season!

1)  Liam (3) awaiting Santa’s arrival.  Insisting on wearing red, all red, today.

2)  Finishing off copious amounts of cheesecake from DH’s Birthday.

3)  Trying to keep the kids calm during this indulgent season.

Used:  So Many Scallops Stamp Set, Pink Pirouette Ink, Real Red Marker, Pixie Pink Marker, Green Galore Marker, Garden Green Marker, Pink Pirouette CS, Crop-a-Dile, Heart Shaped 3/16″ Eyelets, Nestablitites, Oval Punch Offray Ribbon,  Junkitz: Labelz., dimensionals, Scallop Punch, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, 1/4 Punch (back of card), Super Sticky Tape.

Baby’s First Christmas.

Woo-Hoo, Tuesday, Kristina Werner’s Colour Inspiration time!  Colour Inspiration #34 is a photo Kristina took of a skein of yarn in the window of of Purl Soho.  Pretty, so, so pretty & I don’t have to battle with Pumpkin Orange LOL.

Found these Brad Combo’s (felt flowers & glass-like brads) from Making Memories, that matched to a ‘t’ & well, I liked ‘em but didn’t know how to use them.  Then I was looking at the colours & it reminded me of baby-colours, so I went with a quilt like card.  Not sure if it has the effect I was looking for, but she’s done!

Here are a few if the MM Brads, b/ground is Cricut cutter, Mini Monograms cartridge, on Martha Stewart DSP.  No Certainly Celery CS, but the brad counts, yes?

Here’s the ‘quilt’ card:

Looking forward to seeing all the other wonderful submissions & fun interpretations at Kristina Werner’s Blog.

Used:  Textured CS:  Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Bordering Blue, Sage Shadow, Martha Stewart DSP, Bordering Blue Button (from my stash), Lermon Decor 663 (sage coloured) Embroidery Floss, Making Memories Pastel Brad Combos (felt flowers & glass brads), Cricut cutter, Mini Monograms Cartridge, Offray Ribbon 3mm pastel pink, Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen, Scallop Punch, Corner Rounder, Super Sticky Tape, 1/16″ punch (for a hole for the brads).

Yellow, Yellow Duck

Here, Kelly of SCS, has a challenge: AUG08VSNA, Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do you see?.  We were permitted to use the any of the animals of the beloved classic, “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” by Eric Carle, and the only condition is … match the colour.  I started off with Red Bird, but that didn’t work, then Brown Bear, nope … I ended up with this tiny baby card:

The inside of the card, I just put a bit of trim to cover the Rick Rack bits & the underside of the Circle Scallops.

Used:  Bashful Blue Ink & Markers, Bashful Blue CS, Yoho Yellow textured CS & Certainly Celery textured CS, 1/4 inch circle punch, Cuddles & Tickles & Baby Frame stamps (S.U. Retired), Mini Glue Dots, Scallop Punch, 1 3/8″ Punch, Versa Mark Ink & Mustard Yellow Embossing Powder (S.U. Retired).

Check out what others on SCS have come up with here.
