Clothesline & Cowboy Boots
Time for Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge! This week, CSCC75 is Oklahoma!

Each week, I tell DH what the Cinema theme is. This week, he immediately said, “Oklahoma! and broke into SONG. ”Chicks & Ducks & Geese better scurry, when I take you out in the Surrey … & fell into the entire tune. Are you kidding me? You have to know my 6′2″+ big football/hockey playing DH … it floored me, I mean I stood there with my mouth open staring. I guess as a child he was in quite a few school productions, one of which was ‘Oklahoma’.
For those of you who don’t know, here’s the ‘Surrey’ song …
Well, I definitely had something to start with this challenge for inspiration, let me tell you. I went with the clothes line & cowboy theme from the movie.
The little Gingham origami dress instructions (freebie) can be found here over at: origami-club. I love orgiami dresses. I’ve made them in 1950’s style before here. Just too much fun. The Patterned Paper is from Martha Stewart. Great co-ordinating papers, that I punched with SU Scallop Punch. The “hey girl” is an alphabet stamp from making Memories Magnetic Stamps, stamped in SU Bliss Blue Ink. Mini Clothes pins … dollar store maybe? not sure.
The boot template can be found from Ellen Hutson. I used an old Stampin’ Up Punch for the decorative swirl. I think it’s called ‘wroght iron’ corner punch. The Papers are like a faux suede, flocked kinda thing I got from Heather’s Stamping Haven.
I adored the little boot. It would be great for a treat holder for a little boy (well, in this case, it’s a bit more girly), but you could easily turn it into a boy party favour. I used a SU double ribbon whole punch & threw on some ribbon.
Thanks for the fun!
