Put the Bunny in the Box

This week’s Tuesday 3D challenge at Paper Craft Planet, 3d207, is an Easter Bunny Basket.  I’ve been doing some work at the preschool lately & looking up crafts for kids … FUN!  This one I found, although, I do no believe the little ones have the dexterity to cut out this bunny … but it would be fun to give them little treats in it!

It’s a free template from the Easter Colouring blog.

It fits “two egg size” worth of treats.

I added a few details to the template:  the interior pink of the ear and the belly.  It’s quite cute without, so wherever you want to take the template is up to you.

Hope you have fun with this one.

Popcorn & Paper

Hope everyone is having a great summer.  We’ve been going non stop around here since June, either having company over for visits or out on holiday.  Spinning, we’ve been absolutely spinning, but in a good way.  We’ve also enjoyed a bunch of movies this summer … well except for magic Mike & my friend already apologized for bringing me to that one.  The kids have had a few movie nights with friends at the house & have a few more coming up before the summer ends.  I thought a quick & fun for this week’s 3D Challenge at Paper Craft Planet, 3d177, might be this cute little Popcorn Box from One Charming Party.

They (Bettijo B. Hirschi and Aimée Lowry) have provided a free template and detailed instructions for this fun project.  Just print & cut.  No fancy die cutting machines or intricate cuts here.

Here’s my go with it …

Have some fun with this one & remember, it doesn’t have to be filled with popcorn … this template would be great to welcome overnight guests with shampoos & toothpastes or birthday gift card & candy or whatever.  It’s just a cute template.

Have fun!

This would be fun to give the the little Valentine girl in your home!

Day 4 of 12 Days of 3D Christmas

Welcome to day 4 of 12 Days of 3D Christmas! Creations by AR is having a “12 Days of 3D Christmas” Contest!  Woot-Woot!  Prizes to be won & fun to be had.  Be sure to check out more details at Paper Craft Planet’s Creations By AR Discussion Group.

Each Day, at Paper Craft Planet’s Creations By AR Discussion Group, you will see a different template from Creations By AR & today’s template is called “Winter Sleigh

This template is a fun little gift box to hold cookies, truffles, gift card, jewelry …

Adela’s Templates come in SVG, PDF, & DXF formats (as well as step by step instructions a pdf).  I used the SVG, reduced the size of the sizeable template, and cut it out twice on my Cricut Cutter with Sure Cuts A Lot software.

I used the duplicate template to make faux-bois wood planks.

The planks were made by dragging 3 different shades of brown coloured inks over a mustard CS and then cutting parallel lines.

Then I put them in an embossing folder, for some texture.  (Optional).

It gives the Winter Sleight that old style look.

Applying texture to the template changes it up & you could even put a string around the front to use as an ornament.

WANT TO WIN ALL THREE TEMPLATES?

It’s easy! Just leave a comment at Paper Craft Planet’s Creations By AR Discussion Group, between now and before the next day’s post is up. TWO random visitors will win all three templates! Check the Discussion group tomorrow to see if your name was chosen. Be sure to check back each day to see what the next designer has made to inspire you.

Hope you have fun with Creations By AR 12 Days of 3D Christmas Event!

Quick Favour Box

Paper Craft Planet’s 3D 134 Tuesday … finally … Sorry this is about 6 hours late.  I’ll be honest here I was updating google calendar with the kids rediculous activities schedule & I noticed about an hour ago that I had completely forgotten about the challenge … bad me.

To that … good news, THIS IS a quick craft!  Bwha ha.  Hopefully you enjoy it.

This is a very Clever craft from SJRenoir, which is one of my “go to” quick boxes.  There is a template, which I have converted to an SVG file so that I can use Sure Cuts a Lot in my Cricut machine.

I have an old cricut machine & occasionally have problems finding the small mats.  Here’s a secret.  You can cut a big mat & make 3 small mats …

Score …

Fold ..

Tie …

And Bob’s Yur Uncle ..

The template can be found at SJRenoir:

I’ve made two of the new adorable templates for you to see.

First is the High Top Baby Sneakers … the Sneakies!

I made the Sneakies with some Pink Velour paper & the kids have asked that their Build-a-Bears get a pair too!

Next was probably my favourite of all the beautiful templates.  So quick to make & so little girl presentable!

It’s the Carriage:

The carriage opens up to put a treat inside:

Can I say how much I LOVE Adela’s 3D templates … I ADORE THEM.

Thanks to Adela from Creations By AR for all this FUN!

Butterfly Gift Box: Wingin’ It!

This week’s 3D challenge at Paper Craft Planet, 3D128, is making a Butterfly Gift Box.
It’s a cute free design from Paper Craft Printable prepared by Paper Craft Art Creative hinging closed at the wings.

Open it up & voilà, resealable.

There’s an inside flap …

This little gift box could hold some treats or whatever.

Here’s a tiny photo of the template, but you can download the template here.

Hope you have fun playing along this week & if you do be sure to tag your creation with 3d128 so I can look for it & put it in the Album!

Ahoy! Treasure Chest Template

‘Tis a pirate treasure box we’re makin’ this morning for Paper Craft Planet’s Tuesday 3D Challenge Group!

I love surfing & seeing what all the clever people come up with & this treasure box is one of my finds! Tektonten offered a free template for this “Disney-style Treasure Chest”, which I thought would be perfect for the 3D 125 challenge.

You can certainly use the graphics they have or you can do as I did & print it out on white paper & colour the paper. I used Brilliance Galaxy Gold Dew Drop Ink, Tsukineko Terra Cotta Walnut Antiquing solution spray, as well as Cats Eyes ColorBox Merlot Ink. I used simple white paper that would fit in my 20 year old printer (don’t get me started, it still works).

The box itself is curved & very cute, IMO.

The template came with an inside box as well, which I decided to leave out.

Be sure to upload your creations & tag it with 3D125, so I can put it into the 3D125 Album for all to see.
Hope you have fun with it, I did!

Once again, to download the free file, check out Tektonten, but this is a tiny look at what you’ll be downloading.

The template I used is called “Home Tweet Home” it’s this adorable little bird cage that you could put goodies in or little love birds, like I did:

The DSP paper is from Stampin’ Up! as well as the little die cut birds.  The square scalloped bottom is using some nestabilities:

Here’s one more of the many templates you could win!

It’s called “Isn’t She Lovely Dress” & it would be adorable for any girl or bridal shower type special occasion:

And here’s one more of the many templates you could win!

It’s the Heart Box!

The beauty thing that I love about Digi Files is that you can size it to WHATEVER you want.  I sized mine to 50%, because I was low on pink paper & voilà:

I tied mine a bit different than the template.  The box style Adela designed is so sturdy, it could handle being “sewn” with Raffia:

You can put whatever goodies you want & tie it up securely.

Have fun ya’ll & hop, hop, hop for your chances to win!  Leave a comment in this entry, and more even more chances to win, at the other DT’s sites too!

Heart Box Template

Well, I’m back to school in a few days, full time school + full time Mum of 3 busy kids + Chief Cook & Bottle Wash & Dog Walker = Little to No crafting time & a very loving & tired DH to boot!

So I thought I’d play a bit today before the wave hits me.  I’ve made a heart box template.  (I got the idea from a “Dora & Diego” box I saw last year).  You could put cellophane window or just a baggie of goodies inside, like I did.

I’ve put my Heart Box SVG up here, if you would like to download it!

There are also some other matching hearts svg’s too.

Otherwise you can print out this:

Once you have it cut:

Then Score it.

Then fold it up!

Use Adhesives on all sides, except one, which you can punch holes for brads or ribbon.  This makes it easy to open & close.

Here’s the back:

To put goodies in!

Hope you have fun!
