Just having some fun with a Kristina Werner (Reader’s Choice !) Colour Inspiration, #4. I LOVED the photo that Laura had submitted, what a photographer. Gorgeous picture of a jelly fish & a fantastic jumping off for a colour inspiration.
That’s all, thanks for the fun!
The papers: My Minds Eye: Just Dreamy Cards, K & Company Berry Sweet, ColorBox: Friendly Forest.
Punches: Stampin’ Up!: Ornament Punch & 3 flower punch
This week’s 3D Challenge over at Paper Craft Planet, 3D59, is from Adela with a Twist on the Matchbox. I used a template from Ruthannzaroff Mirkwood Designs for the inside matchboxes. Check out the fun interpretations of matchboxes here in Paper Craft Planet’s 3d59 Gallery.
The only difference I did to the template was to angle the edges of the tab, because I found that it folded over more cleanly that way.
Throw on some super sticky tape.
Now for the outside I used the K & Company Que Sera Sera Mat Pack again.
Fold over around the two Matchboxes that have been sticky-taped together.
Trim it down a bit.
For a different twist for edging, I used Tim Holtz Grunge Board.
… coloured with Color Box Ink.
I cut a slit in the back for the ribbon to run through.
and Bob’s Yur Uncle.
Hmmm maybe to hold earrings? Something small. Liam is suggesting a Hot Wheels car. LOL Serves me right for asking him.
Oh here’s the back …
Time for an Embellish Challenge. Not my normal colours, but I really like the ring & it’s chunky carved look. That’s sorta where I started with this card. The “Ribbon” is more rick rack & pom poms, but I’m hoping it counts. Much more pink too, hot pink, but pink. Maybe it’s my screen, probably it’s the lighting. Can I blame anything else for my inability to take a picture with accurate colours?
Here’s my card, using Colorbox Friendly Forest Mat Pack, Cream CS, & We Are Memory Keepers White Out Trim “ribbon”, Stampin’ Up! Calembours, Positively Pink SU! Ink, Word Window Punch.
