Cupcake Basket
This little cupcake box is a Freebie from Adela of Creations by AR & it’s the Tuesday 3D challenge over at Paper Craft Planet!
I love how Adela cut the template for a fun closure at the top.
I resized the template to make it a bit smaller to hold a wee treat! Use some double sided paper mix for a bit of variety.
Thanks, Adela for the template!!!
Be sure to check out the 3D80 Album for more fun takes on this template.

Hey, Cupcake
Don’t forget this week by entering a comment in the Time for Tea & Time to WIN, you could WIN one of the templates from “Creations by AR”!
TO BE ENTERED INTO THE CONTEST for one of Adela’s TEMPLATES, make sure you comment in the Time for Tea & Time to WIN!
, so that I can gather all of the comments together.
Okay, onto the fun creative stuff! Adela has made so many cute templates, here’s just one more, called the Cupcake Card & Box Set:
Adela supplies you the template in both the SVG and the PDF formats. So if you have a fancy smancy digital cutter (I used my old 6″ cricut with SCAL), you can get this done a bit faster, but otherwise, you can certainly use scissor power.
Open up the card …
to put in a birthday invite info or a special sentiment for a birthday friend, a gift certificate!
Okay, so what if you don’t want a birthday cupcake or even a card, you’re more into little boxes to hold treats … check this out!
I’m thinking of a gift for a friend, for a teacher at the end of the year, or maybe as a favour at a shower, filled with some chocolates or chocolate covered Pomegranate seeds. I dunno … anything chocolate covered, really.
Can I say just how easy these templates are to put together!

Liam’s Cupcake
This was a generous freebie cupcake template from Kelleigh Ratzlaff through the Stamp Out Alzheimer’s website. It’s free right now, through the Charitable Website, all funds going to Alzheimer’s foundation. After this week long event is over, Kelleigh will be selling this template at her site: The Digi Chick.
My little helper (the 3 year old in B/Ground shot) & I went to work on our cupcake. I think next time I will try to do it on my own, so that I concentrate a bit more while I cut out the template.
The reason the Twill Tape was on it, is that it was a bit wonky … “K’y HELP?????” “uh, just wait, oh dear”. I think next time I would gather it, so it would fit on the hexagonal shape a bit better.
and the bottom.
What a cute template & it would make a great treat holder. Not sure who I’m sending ours to yet, but it was fun to make.
Used: Close To Cocoa DSP, Vanilla CS, Versa Mark Ink, Red EP (SU retired), Martha Stewart Twill Tape, Riding Hood Red CS, Red Brad, Silk Flowers, So Swirly SU Wheel, Template from Kelleigh Ratzlaff.
it’s a sweet thing
Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #27! Johnny Depp & Juliette Binoche in Chocolat. The criteria for the challenge was add something sweet!
I used these inexpensive Studio G Stamps (bought at Michaels) along with some Color Box Fluid Chalk Ink in Alabaster. Just a quick card this week as with the nicer weather we are out much more. I must admit, I’m tired, just not used to that much fresh air.
Used: Kraft CS, Holiday Treasures DSP, Riding Hood Red CS, Corner Rounder, White Alabaster Color Box Chalk Ink, Studio G Acrylic Stamps, Dimensionals, Red Brad (Forever in Time Scrapbook), Scallop Edge Punch, Creamy Caramel Ink, Chocolate Chip Ink.
Cupcake Gift Box
Tuesday & time for a 3-D challenge from Paper Craft Planet. The 3D6 challenge is to make a Cup Cake box. Susanna provided the very easy to follow instructions. (* I did add the extra 1/2 inch to make the lid 5″x5″square, as per the addendum instructions & that worked much better than just the 5″x5″ for me).
For colours, I decided to dig into my big stash of unloved Purple Hues. I’m not a big purple fan, but why not.
I looked at the size of it & thought it might be a bit short for a cupcake … I like my Icing BIG
so I thought I’d just fill it with chocolates & give it to my friend who seems to be having a really challenging week.
I didn’t have acetate for the see-thru cover, so I just used the packaging from my cover-stock paper. It’s really thick, but it did have a funny purple pattern on it. Ah well.
Used: textured Yellow CS, Almost Amethyst CS, Sticky Tape, Circle Punch, EK Success Slim line Edge Punch, So Saffron Gross Grain Ribbon, Purple ‘Craft’ Chipboard from $ Store, Cover Stock Plastic Packaging
