Nestabilities Bracelet

I saw this cute tutorial from Nathalie on the Green Bracelet from Custom Crops.  It uses one of those “benefit” rubber bracelets, Fabric Tacky Glue, scrap fabric, & Nestabilities die cuts.

Here’s my DD, who gave up one of her old rubber bracelets & now has it replaced with the refurbished bracelet.  Yes, I do know she’s wearing her shirt inside out.  Apparently, that’s cool for a 10 year old to do.  Who knew?

Fun!  Be sure to give it a go, it’s pretty quick to make.

Fabric of Life

Time for a Fabric Challenge From Embellish Magazine.

Here’s my fabric card.  I have since switched the positioning of the buttons at the bottom, because my youngest said “THE PATTERN DOESN’T MATCH, MUM”  Honestly, I guess in JK class they were learning about patterns, & he is really stuck on the order of things lately.  It’s not worth arguing over, I’ll switch it.

The fabric is just some inexpensive cream muslin that I had kicking around.  I used my old Sizzix Balloon Die cut & brayered it with SU! Wild Wasabi Ink, Pacific Blue Ink, & Ridinghood Red Ink.  The Sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms “The Rummage Bin, Sew Special” Stamp Set.  CS: SU Kraft, Ink:  Versamark & Red Marker, Clear Embossing Powder.

Yo

Time for Kristina Wern’ers Colour Inspiration #55!  This week’s photo comes from this fabulous skirt & shoes:

No stamping, just some left over material cut in a circle, with a running stitch around the outside & then gathered in to make a fabric yoyo.  Apparently they sell templates to make yoyo’s, but I’ve never understood why.  Maybe it’s faster.  Anyhoo, here’s my card:

Used:  Vanilla CS, Really Rust CS, Grey CS, Buttons from my stash, EKSuccess Edge Punch, Unknown PP, Grey & Rust Cross Stitch Embroidery Floss, Fabric left over from an autumn table runner I made a couple of years ago.
