Fine Print & Plaid
Oh my last day of the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge, this week’s challenge, #66 was Clueless.
Here’s my Plaid Card …
Here’s a close up of the Stampin’ Up Sentiment: That Fine Print, in Basic Black Marker. The Paper is from DCWV Matstack: Safari Kids & the Flowers are from Ka Jinker.
Thanks for the fun Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge folks!
Stitched Up
So this month’s theme at Paper Craft Planet is Keeping You in Stitches, pcpdt0210, Add sewing to your creation. I keep a special needle aside, so the next time I go to mend the boys’ clothes or Emma’s latest scrunchie, I can actually sew with it. Paper dulls the needle just a bit.
I did have some fun with this idea with two projects. First is this little paper bird:
I thought he was cute. The CS is a Designer Mat Pad from K & Co called Ancestry. The pattern … Martha. And such a Martha thing, it is. ”What do you do with a paper bird?” I don’t know, but I like the idea.
The second stitching bit I’ve done was on a card …
The stamp set is from Stampin’ Up! called Paint Prints, stamped in Sahara Sand Ink on Kraft CS, with some old olive CS. The felt vine is from Forever in Time Floral Embellishments Thick Vine.
The green boarder at the side was left over from another project’s unused Scallop Trim. Always keep your scraps, ya never know.
Grateful
Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge! I actually had time to sit in front of the computer on Friday night and play along with the sneak peeks, because Malcolm wasn’t feeling well & he couldn’t go to Hockey. Thankfully, he is feeling a bit better today, but still kinda’ sluggy. Each one of these little viruses he triumphs over will make him into a stronger boy, and that’s what I tell him. He’d still rather rush through the headache & have a hockey stick in his hand.
The CSCC challenge was for the beautiful movie, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. We rented it years ago, well DH rented it, I didn’t think I’d like it. I was wrong. It is beautifully choreographed & the scenery, wow. Great Actors, good script, & that’s pretty much all I ask for.
I really wanted to make a Comb for Emma-Sian, like the beginning of the movie. But that was beyond me in talents & time constraints. I went instead with a coaster on a card. Really, this felt coaster was part of a set from Michaels for $1.50 & a 40% off coupon on top of that. BARGOOON BABY! The card wasn’t meant to represent anything in particular. It just reminded me a bit of the setting & the gates & such. The Paper is from Déjà Vu, called Global Views, pretty earth tones.
Here’s my card:
Be sure to check out other fun interpretations at PaperCraftPlanet or Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge. Thanks Sankari & Brooke & all those who partipate in this fun challenge. I am Grateful!
