Put the Bunny in the Box

This week’s Tuesday 3D challenge at Paper Craft Planet, 3d207, is an Easter Bunny Basket.  I’ve been doing some work at the preschool lately & looking up crafts for kids … FUN!  This one I found, although, I do no believe the little ones have the dexterity to cut out this bunny … but it would be fun to give them little treats in it!

It’s a free template from the Easter Colouring blog.

It fits “two egg size” worth of treats.

I added a few details to the template:  the interior pink of the ear and the belly.  It’s quite cute without, so wherever you want to take the template is up to you.

Hope you have fun with this one.

Creations by AR, Christmas Days: Day 7

From December 6 to 15, the Creations by AR Design Team has been sharing ideas for presenting holiday gifts using templates from Creations by AR!  Everyday for ten days, our designers will bring inspiration to you with our holiday projects. Join us daily at our FaceBook Page or at our group on Paper Craft Planet.

DAILY PRIZE GIVEAWAY: One winner each day will receive one template of their choice. The Daily Prize winner will be chosen from comments left on the designer’s blog. Winners to be announced the following day on the AR FaceBook Page and AR Group on PCP.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER: One random winner will be chosen to receive ONE TEMPLATE A MONTH FOR SIX MONTHS beginning January 2013!  The Grand Prize Winner will be randomly chosen from comments left on the AR FaceBook Page and AR Group on PCP.  Winner to be announced December 16.

The template from Creations By AR that I chose was the Totally Tote-Able.  With the freezing rain storm we’ve had here, I was inspired to make an icy look, by adding glass beads.  I also punched out the bottom of the template and added some holly leaves at the top.  Quick & easy.

With all of the baked goods & sweets being given out, I think this would come in handy!

Hazelnut dark chocolate … all wrapped up.

Thank you for joining me on Day 7!  Lisa is up next hosting Day 8 on December 13th.  Just click HERE to find her Christmas Days projects featuring another fun template from Creations By AR!

Happy Birthday, Susanna!

Today, October 22nd, we are celebrating our Paper Craft Planet leader, Susanna Boyd’s, birthday with a week-long Blog Hop celebration that every member on the Paper Craft Planet can participate in!
Just like last year, the Super Novas got together and each made a special birthday gift for Susanna’s birthday.  In honor of this momentous occasion, we invite everyone to join in the hop and post a birthday greeting!
For Susanna, I made a Finnish Star.  There are some video instructions that I followed here.  It would be fun as a Christmas Tree Ornaments too … Give it a go!
So, join us for Susanna’s birthday party celebration from October 22nd that ends on October 28th.
Hey, if you’d like to play along and give Susanna some birthday wishes, just create a card or a little giftie, post it to your photo gallery with the tag SBOCT22 (exactly as typed).  We’ll create a slideshow on the Planet Blog post that you can refer back to.
Okay for those of you who want the abridged version of the You Tube Tutorial of the Finnish Star, here’s what I did:
6 strips (well actually 12 strips, you need two stars):
Twist, Twist, Twist:
Do it Again …
Place them facing each other:
Trim the edges:
It looks nice either way … Fun.  It reminds me a bit of those s.
Alright … go have some fun & be sure to wish Susanna a Happy Birthday!

Okay, here’s my take on the Dessert Cage:

I cut these templates with my Cricut cutter (& sure cuts a lot software).  The SVG is scalable, so that’s what I did, I proportionately sized it down 60% for a smaller version.

Hope you enjoy the hop & thanks to Adela of Creations By AR for the awesome template!  Happy Birthday, Susanna!

Stars & Stripes Blog Hop!

Creations By AR is hosting a blog hop with beautiful templates up for grabs.
How do you enter in to win a template?  Visit the Design Team blogs listed below, leave a comment at each one, and you’ll automatically be entered in the drawing.
On Saturday, June 23, revisit each blog to see who the designers have chosen as their random winner.
Right-e-o …. now onto the fun.  I made my “Stars & Stripes” Bordered Box Set.  Now being a canuck, I didn’t find any American Patriotic Paper, so I stamped some white lines onto red patterned paper.  For the ruffle at the top, I used blue plastic table cloth that I sewed into a ruffle and adhered to the inside of the box border.  I also cut out a star on the front of the box.  To get the same shape of star as the top border, just resize the template to a bigger size & cut out the star.

Then I filled it with some red & white candy sticks, held together by a belly band.

Lots of fun.  Now be sure to check out what the other Creations by AR Design Team Members came up with & drop them a note to be entered into the hop.

Father’s Day Blog HOP

Hey It’s a blog hop! Creations By AR is releasing some new templates & we’re launching them with a Father’s Day Blog Hop.

What do you win at this hop? One of two new templates :D

Here’s what I made with the COMFY SOFA GIFT BOX template:

This template, can be converted into a sofa/chesterfield/couch or just the chair.

The chair has a compartment that pulls out.

For a gift box.  I thought what might be a good gift for the gadgety dad, is a USB stick with a photo slide show of favourite photos for his computer screen saver.

Oh yes, & don’t forget the remote on the chair.

The second template I made was:  PAPA’S TRUNK

The SVG, is of course, scalable.  So I brought mine down to 50% of actual size.

There’s a little paper lock included in the template.

That is used as a label here.

I made mine from white CS & then put an embossing folder to get the raised metal impression, and then dragged silver ink pads over it.

Here’s the back … I used tiny eyelets to hold the paper hinges.

I had these tiny tools from the dollar store … totally worked for this “Delta Tool Box Truck Box” project.

Wee hammer.

And that’s it!

What you need to know …

PRIZE: there will be ONE random winner per DT blog. Winner will receive ONE of the new templates.

HOW TO WIN: Leave a comment to qualify.

WINNERS will be announced: Saturday

Be sure to visit all the members of the DT & leave a comment on each blog, for more chances to win!

Winners will be announced SATURDAY!  So what are the new templates?

The first one is called Craft Hutch.

My MIL had brought these wee little bottles back from Scotland last year.  When I saw Adela’s template, which looks identical to my Dining Room Hutch, I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for.

I slipped some cotton into the test tube to hold the little bottle in place.  Fits just right.

The second template I have made to show you is the “ES in the Bag”:

There are two templates in this one, a scalloped edge & a hexagonal.  Both are lovely, but my fav is the hexagonal.

A sweet little purse.

Have fun with the hop and thanks again to Adela of Creations By AR for hosting it!

Butterfly Gift Box: Wingin’ It!

This week’s 3D challenge at Paper Craft Planet, 3D128, is making a Butterfly Gift Box.
It’s a cute free design from Paper Craft Printable prepared by Paper Craft Art Creative hinging closed at the wings.

Open it up & voilà, resealable.

There’s an inside flap …

This little gift box could hold some treats or whatever.

Here’s a tiny photo of the template, but you can download the template here.

Hope you have fun playing along this week & if you do be sure to tag your creation with 3d128 so I can look for it & put it in the Album!
