Girly Note

Kristina Werner’s Colour Inspiration #44.   Such wonderful colours & inspiration.  Oh I wanna ‘nutha girl.  (somewhere DH is shuttering).  I can’t tell you how fast this card was to make … like 10 minutes, which is a record for me & like 5 of those minutes were shuffling through paper.  The Brad is from Making Memories & it just reminds me of Spring & Easter & cheerful stuff.

Used:  White CS, Chocolate Chip CS, Pink Pirouette CS, Making Memories Brad Combos (pastel), Martha Stewart Rose Petal Punch, SU Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Circle Punches, Edge Scallop Punch, Close To Cocoa Ink, Sweet Little Sentiments Stamp Set.

Hopping around

Check out the BARGOOOOOON from the Dollar Store … this “Felt Border for Scrapbooking”, oodles of it for $2.  No Name, baby!  The one pita factor is that there is no adhesive, so I just used some glue dot runner on the back of it & it really wasn’t all that figity.

The punches …. thank you, Martha Stewart.  If I had the cash, I’d cover the basement in her craft punches.  Just as well don’t wanna be know as the crazy punch girl.

SPECIAL NOTE:  Thanks, Katherine, for all the hopping around you do at Paper Craft Planet & will be doing with baby 4 on the way.

Used:  Baja Breeze CS, Real Rust textured CS, So Saffron CS, Martha Stewart Bunny Punches, 1 1/4″ Circle SU Circle Punches, No Name Felt Border from the Dollar Store, dimensionals, Glue Dot Runner, Corner Rounder, Glossy White CS.

Spring will come.

Can you believe it, it’s snowing, again?  I mean Ottawa can get snow until Easter, but MAN, today I wasn’t welcoming it.  I’m a bit craving spring.  Ah well, it’ll get here.  To escape & day dream in the craft studio, I’m having some fun with Colour Inspiration #42, from Kristina Werner.

I used some punches from Martha Stewart.  This 3-in-1 butterfly punch & the Classic Butterfly Punch.

I punched out one big butterfly from the 3-in-1 & then with the Classic Butterfly Punch, I positioned it over the cut out paper & punched again, which gave the “W” edge in the Patterned Paper.  Does that make sense?  Anyways here’s my go at Kristina’s Colour Inspiration.

Used:  Kiwi Kiss CS, More Mustard textured CS, Really Rust textured CS, White CS, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punches, Close To My Heart Circle Cutters, Dimensionals, Kiwi Kiss Ink, Making Memories Rummage Magnetic Alphabet Stamps, Martha Stewart Clear Gem Etiquettes Stickers, PP Cornucopia (?).

You are the Bees Knees!

Kristina Werner’s Colour Inspiration time!  This Week’s Colour Inspiration, #41, comes from some children’s Clothes from a little boutique:

Here’s my Candy Basket.  I got the idea from the Stampin’ Up! Catty (2009 Spring/Summer Page 56 in the Canadian Book).  It’s not exactly the same, but it’s my interpretation of what they did.

I used my Sizzix Rule Based Die Cut Heart.  It’s about 4″x4″ & cuts through Chipboard (my cereal box) nicely.  I didn’t measure but cut a strip of CS & then cut the edges so it would be easier to stick on.  I used Super Sticky Tape.  That’s important.  It won’t hold anything & may fall apart if you use just regular adhesive.

One side:

Other side & you will probably want to cover the inside with a white heart, if don’t like to see the … uh cereal box.

Decorate, la di dah.  Oh here’s the inside.  The ribbon tied on by a double whole punch:

And Bob’s Yur Uncle:

Be sure to check out other fun interpretation of this Colour Inspiration Challenge at Kristina’s Blog.

Used:  Basic Grey CS, Riding Hood Red CS, Holiday Treasures DSP, White CS, Cereal Box Chipboard, Offray Checkered Ribbon, Stazon Red Ink, Basic Grey Marker, Martha Stewart Valentine Clear Acrylic Stamps, Martha Stewart Heart Doily Edge Punch, Sizzix Heart, Sizzlit Tag Set Small, EK Success Dimensional Heart Stickers, Dimensionals.

Sword Inspired

I was way off on the guessing for the Friday Sneak Peeks of Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge.   I thought it was a tornado movie … instead the Saturday reveal was …… drrrrrrr The Princess Bride.  Such a funny movie, really made me smile when I thought of the movie.  I think we’ll have to rent it for the kids, I’m sure they’ll love it … over 20 years old now GASP.

I had a tough time with coming up with something for this challenge.

My DD is into masks/theatrical so I think I’ll save this card for her … can’t think of anyone else I could give it to LOL.  I used little metal rimmed tags, some Rhinestones tried to stay to the sketch as best as possible.  I’m not very good at staying on Sketch Challenges, so this was a Sketch Stretch.  :)

Be sure to check out other fun interpretations at Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge or Paper Craft Planet, using 2 tags: sk013109 for the sketch challenge and cinemasaturday for the Movie Creative Challenge.

Used:  Martha Stewart Heart Doily Punch, Metal Rimmed Tags, Circle Nesties, Plantimum Planet Brilliance Fast Drying Pigment Ink (Tsukineko), Corner Rounders, Dimentionals, Rhinestones, Mask Print Out.
