I messed around for a little while & then did a U-turn & ended up with this card. I used the crop-a-dile & Stampin’ Up Mat pack on cereal board & then embossed the cereal board. Then used the cuttle bug & some clear embossing, stamping. Well, I was all over the map, but here’s where it ended up:

Saw Beate’s Be Inspired Challenge #29 & couldn’t help but play along. I loved that wicker sleigh bed. We own nothing wicker. I wanted a wicker chair one time & my DH insisted he will break it the first time he sat on it. Probably so, but it looks nice!
Beate chose the Fiona Bedding from Pottery Barn for the inspiration:
The ‘wicker’ look was achieved by kinda’ crocheting 5 strands of raffia & taping underneath. It took me maybe 4 minutes to crochet it. Here’s the card:
Thanks for the fun inspiration, Beate. Be sure to check out other fun interpretations at SplitCoastStampers BIC29.

I saw this a tutorial on SplitCoastStampers by Beate for “Stained Glass” cards. Check out the Stain Glass Tutorial for the step by step how to, but basically, you take vellum & then emboss in dark ink & clear powder (or Dark E.Powder like I did) and then colour on the UNDER side of the Vellum.
You can see it a little bit in this picture:
Here’s the card:
Used: Miracle of Christmas Stamp Set, Cornucopia PP, Note Quite Navy CS, Versa Mark Ink, Stampin’ Up Markers, Blender Pen, Vintage Distressing Ink, Coluzzle Square cutter, Corner Rounder, Vellum, Glue Dots, Dark Brown Embossing Powder, Martha Stewart Brown Twill Ribbon.
Check out the Gallery for more Stain Glass creations.
There seems to be quite a bit of Christmas paper in Pinks & Purples this year, so this is what I went with for my card.
The Stars are cut with the Sizzix Die Cuts, spaced with Dimensionals & I used some silver Embossing powder with the Peace on Earth S.U. Stamp set. I used Orchid Opulence with “The Christmas Stack” DCWV PP that I bought at Michaels.
Check out SplitCoastStampers BIC #27 for more fun interpretations. Thanks, Beate!

Here’s the card, that I’m giving to a friend who has a burden of stresses right now. I’m not sure exactly how to help out, but I find the single most powerful thing I CAN do is letting them know they are lifted in prayer.
Here’s her card:

I saw Beate’s Colour Inspiration #23 & thought I’d give it a go. To be honest, I’m not all that happy with it. It’s the mix of patterns, colours, well, I don’t know what happened. I did my best to mirror the inspiration photo. I also thought I’d try to use an Unloved Ribbon, I’ve had in my collection. I’ll blame it on the ribbon.
Beate’s Inspiration came from CB2, here:
Here’s the card. It’s nutty, I know, it’s the stripes, mixed with the circles. Why does it work in the inspiration & not the card? Ah well, I gave it a go. When I saw the photo, I saw circles with brown & green … hey I have a ribbon like that. Hmm maybe this is why I don’t use the ribbon too often.
Used: Say It With Scallops, Square Scallop Punch, Green Galore Textured CS, some crazy ribbon I bought at a Michaels Clearance event,PP from Chatter Box, Scrapbook walls: 2 sided Light Den Stripe, Certainly Celery Marker, Certainly Celery Ink, Martha Stewart Pearl Stickers.
I’m off to see what others at SCS have done with this photo & see how to do it right.
Here’s the Saturday Colour Inspiration from SplitCoaststampers, IC145.
It’s from Pier 1 Imports, check out their website, as my photoshops skills are rushed & cruddy today:

This is another 2 in 1 challenge card, although I said I wouldn’t do that again. Lesson learned: never say never.
Beate had an inspiration challenge with some pretty blues, & browns, with rounded glass bottles in her Be Inspired Challenge #22.
The Image came from Martha Stewart, love her stuff:
And Artful Inkables had a challenge to using “masking” & “doodles” on a card. Pretty open, so I thought I could incorporate the two challenges. I read about the Arful Inkable challenge#5 on JeNN’s blog.
I hope the strings of the balloons in Going Grey Marker counts as “doodles”, because I haven’t “doodled” on scrap paper since my statistics class in university.
Used: Sketch A Party (S.U. retired 2 set stampin’), Pensées Amicales, Baja Breeze Ink, Stazon Timber Brown Ink, Going Grey Marker, Baja Breeze CS, Chocolate Chip CS, S.U. PP, Grey Ribbon, S.U. double rectangle Punch, S.U. Oval Punches.

I stamped the Anna Griffin Filigree Boarder Stamp in Stazon Olive Green on some Avocado Twill Tape from a Michaels Clearance bin. I love the vintage looking Rooster Stamp, & oddly enough, use it fairly often.
